About Us
My name is Baylee Wentworth and I’m the woman behind Poppies and Sage! I am a self-taught silversmith and jewelry creator who began their entrepreneurial endeavors in 2020 in the midst of the Covid pandemic. I started off selling painted vinyl records and quilts to fill those long days in quarantine and have grown to love the art of jewelry making through making stamped jewelry and then progressing into silversmithing.
Poppies and Sage began as a way to sell my creations in order to fund my various hobbies and has become a way for me to make things specifically for others to enjoy.
I have always desired to try any sort of creative skill and have picked up many hobbies in my pursuit to find my niche. Anything from painting, macrame, graphic design, calligraphy, book binding, embroidery, and everything in between. If I have the time and the materials, I can learn just about anything.
Outside of creating, I love to spend time with my husband Seth on any adventure we can find. We are big time Husker fans and I finally got to attend my first in-person game in 2023! I love cooking, visiting family, camping, house plants, and snacks. We spend a lot of our time serving at our local church, where we lead the Youth group and I occasionally play my Cello on the worship team.
